The other day was hot and humid, as so many days have been lately. Michelle had gone to bed early and I was sitting in our screen house drinking some tea before bed and just relaxing. I looked out and to the south I could see the moon, almost full, through the clouds. Further to the north I notice a star. I walked out into the deck and looked back over the roof of the house so that I could see the entire northern sky. It was clear and the stars were bright. I watched the clouds and saw that they were slowly drifting south; the sky and the weather was clearing. I had to step back into the house to get the tea kettle as it was starting to whistle. While I was inside I heard the wind chime on the porch give a slight stir. I stepped back out to the screen porch. I heard a rumble coming through the treetops, getting louder and closer. Then, a breeze, and the sky cleared. I realized that weather front the weatherman had promised had just come through and that I had witnessed it. How often do things like this take place but I do not notice because I am too busy? Why do I allow myself to be "too busy. "?
